Leylat (Mother of Pearl)

Mother of Pearl is a smooth shining iridescent forming the inner layer of the shell of some molluscs, especially oysters and abalones, used in ornamentation. Did you know each Mother of Pearl clutch takes up to 3 weeks to finish? 

** please note that the pearl shell does have a cracked effect due to the fact that this is a natural resource. Cracked effect is across the whole of the clutch however more apparent on the edges as it has been manipulated to fit the frame. This is not considered damaged and will not affect the use of the clutch or deteriorate in any way.
